The RP stated they had hadn't meant for the word 'rat' to appear, claiming it was an editing mistake and 'rat' was actually the end of another word (which word, i cannot remember now).

yeah, so maybe he broke the rules and brought a pen or something...and if it realy were something that small, bush also broke the rule for them not to speak to each other...so they are both rule breakers
